Dark areas and ghost effects in SLI? I faced the same issue too and resolved it. It started when the NVIDIA 344.75 drivers vanished, leaving SLI games with very dark shadows at night and intense texture flickering. I experimented to fix both problems. The texture glitches can develop slowly, so testing is key. You’ll need NVIDIA Inspector for this. First, launch the tool, navigate to settings (next to driver version), then select Far Cry 3 under Profiles. Copy the relevant SLI bit strings from there—like 0x081902F5 for Blood Dragon DLC—and paste them into a note. Alternatively, I can share some numbers from another forum that worked well. There were also reports of issues with trees at night near cliffs; those seem to cause texture problems like leaves turning white or becoming translucent. It’s a minor bug, but it’s noticeable. After adjusting, I used Far Cry 4 in SLI with the correct shadows and found no ghosting. I had to enable V-sync for smooth performance, though it caused stuttering before—something familiar from earlier games. Since then, both settings (dx1x and dx2x) worked fine, and FPS stayed stable around 92-95.

Adjusted the ambient occlusion settings and it functioned properly. This was only a minor change, not a complete solution.

The problem isn't linked to SLI since you don't have two graphics cards. You can run the game without using HBAO+.

I've heard that switching to SSAO for ambient occlusion might resolve the problem. It's uncertain if it will actually help, but it could be worth trying.
