Account compromised and subsequently banned for perma on Apex Legends help.
I've been away from my computer for six months while traveling abroad. I got a new machine and asked a friend if he'd like to play Apex, thinking my account might have been hacked globally—possibly using a VPN. Unfortunately, my entire friend list was removed and my Apex account was banned, along with Battlefield 1 and 4. I'm not sure about the other restrictions. Customer support at EA/Contact EA has been very unhelpful; I've sent many emails (+100) but haven't received any response. It's really frustrating. If someone from EA or Origin could assist me, it would mean a lot...

So you didn't have a phone? No worries, I just think it's really tough to imagine. Unless you were stuck in the wild. Email doesn't really need you to be on your particular computer or in your country.
I reviewed my email occasionally, but it wasn’t a regular habit since I rarely had a reason to check it. I focused on work and had other commitments in my life.
Not all areas offer connectivity. In remote places like the tar sands of Alberta or distant regions, internet access is extremely limited or nonexistent. Voice communication might exist, but data for email remains scarce. There were customers recently who traveled to an island in the South Pacific on a religious mission. They had to hike four hours and then take a boat for an hour just to reach a landline telephone. Their contact outside the few villages was limited to once a week, with no internet access at all.
It's not about me lacking internet access; it was simply because I didn't concentrate on electronic matters as much as real-world tasks. I should have checked my email more often, but I didn't manage to focus, and now I'm really sorry about that.
It seems like you're questioning the value of living beyond the online world.
