It's not their concern about why you couldn't check your email, just use the usual vague reply that stops most questions and says it was 'due to illness I couldn't'. You'd think they'd have similar protections as banks and credit card companies, blocking logins from new devices until you confirm your identity via email or text.

Fortunately, I never save my bank details during purchases, which means I regain access to my account but remain restricted from playing the games I own, that's my main concern unfortunately but it's whatever.

My Origin account was stolen before. I'm not sure I noticed an email notifying me about it, I think I found out just by trying to log-in and not being able to and not receiving any password reset email when I requested one.
Origin support can see what IP an account has been logged-in from and when, as well as when the account details were changed, if they were. And they have a rule saying that accounts may not be transferred. So, if there's a sign that the account ownership details were transferred to somebody else, they'll reset them to their original ownership details. If you're the account's original owner, they should set it back to you.

To this day, I remain connected with the ToS team at Origin, though it seems I haven't gotten any news yet. I'm keeping my hopes high, but it's definitely an EA situation...
