It only creates a time bucket for GPU frame output. It's not a high refresh rate gaming CPU. It's a solid overall CPU though. You should look for single core IPC, and Intel has that advantage over AMD if you need 240 FPS. I can't say for sure if Zen2+ can reach that without one, but it would help the GPU by increasing frame time.

It appears the system locks you to a stable frame rate, often around 300fps or higher. While reviews claim averages above that, minor drops can occur, typically around 150fps or lower.

It's true, CS:GO runs smoothly even on lower-end systems, hitting around 200 FPS. The issue isn't with the graphics settings but possibly with other factors like background processes or resource limits. G-Sync isn't being used, yet performance remains stable. Check for background apps or settings that might interfere.

On my setup (desktop and laptop), the refresh rate will always stay constant even with adaptive sync active. This includes Pascal GPUs on both devices, the laptop has a Gsync panel while the desktop uses Freesync monitor.

It was really interesting. We reduced one core to 4100 and kept the rest underclocked at 3400 with 1.4v, achieving around 50fps in CS:GO. That points to a CPU problem, so I suggested getting a new CPU.
