It only creates a time bucket for GPU frame output. It's not a high refresh rate gaming CPU. It's a solid overall CPU though. You should look for single core IPC, and Intel has that advantage over AMD if you need 240 FPS. I can't say for sure if Zen2+ can reach that without one, but it would help the GPU by increasing frame time.
