Not the RST, just the boot drive connected—only the SSD was used—it performed about 3 seconds faster. RAM is available in all slots, each 4x16.

I avoided adjusting RAM today (hardline tubes), but I tried disabling XMP (4800) using four sticks. The difference was minimal (~20 seconds to pass memory verification). After the first boot with the new settings, it took about 50 seconds for the system to complete the check.

I’d still attempt using just two sticks. Occasionally two kits work, though they’re identical brands might lead to issues. Disappointing about the strict rules.

Sure, it might not be necessary after all. The original tubes were sufficient to fit Corsair Dominators, leaving room to extract them. It’ll just be a hassle, though. I’m planning to try it on this weekend.
