You just put in a new CPU into your system built for an Asrock B450M/A with 32GB RAM, an RX 6750 graphics card, a 600W power supply. After switching from a Ryzen 3600 to a 5600X, the machine restarts every 30 seconds and keeps restarting.

I searched everything online and downloaded the extracted BIOS onto a USB drive. I opened it in BIOS under Tools, but it showed up as not found on the USB. I checked different slots and still couldn’t locate it. The device listed as Flash UFI instead of BIOS, which added to my confusion. I checked the manual on the ASRocks website and was told to update via ASRock apps, which I did. It said the update succeeded. Now I’m trying a CPU change, but everything seems inconsistent or broken. I’m really stressed out.

They mentioned that the BIOS needs to be updated for compatibility. The B450 model was designed specifically for Ryzen 3000 chips.

Thank you for your feedback so far. The old chip is now back in BIOS, showing UEFI R2.0 P2.0 according to cpuz. My BIOS is listed as P2.00 - AMD - Agesa combo am4 1.0.0.6, and I confirmed the manual with @jaslion. It seems there’s some confusion about updates—Windows isn’t an option, but there’s a live update feature. I’ve attached the manual images and mentioned the recommended software, which differs from what’s in the manual.

You can simply use it without any suggestions. Just double-check your USB is formatted correctly and ensure the BIOS file has no extra spaces or symbols in the main folder.
