To use a USB drive for updating the BIOS, start fresh. Ensure your USB is 32GB or less and format it as fat 32. Then, adhere to the instructions for your motherboard model, version, and Windows release. Once formatted, download the updated BIOS. If the file is compressed, extract it to your USB drive. If the extraction saves it in a folder, keep it there. Finally, transfer the BIOS file to the USB drive’s root directory and proceed with the update.

There can be various versions of the same board with different bios, so double-checking is important. I was attempting the bios for B450M/AC when I actually needed B450M/AC L2.0.
