The cooler fans are switching between low and maximum speeds unexpectedly, even when the system is idle. Despite keeping the minimum temperature around 50-70°C, I see temperatures rise to 85°C. After running OCCT for five minutes, overheating issues appeared, but the problem persists. Your build was assembled by yourself—please check the cooling setup, fan speeds, and power supply stability. Also, ensure the voltage isn’t fluctuating wildly (it did jump to 1.475).

This happens because the processor changes voltage levels to activate the cores. That’s typical behavior. If the fan noise is bothersome, try overclocking to keep voltage steady. Alternatively, you can set the fans to maintain a consistent speed.

It seems it should work fine, fitting the CPU adequately and securely fastened with screws.

It happens because the system is automatically adjusting itself when idle, which can cause sudden spikes in voltage and fan speed. The error count of 320 in minutes likely reflects a rapid detection of instability or hardware stress during those brief periods.

No, I haven't used any thermal paste yet.

It seems you're considering replacing your CPU cooler. You might want to remove the old cooler again, take out the 2-day-old paste, and install a fresh one.

You didn't need it... which paste did you apply?

It doesn't appear to be the issue... it looks quite unusual that the Hyper 212 Turbo maintains the 3600 RPM even when under stress.
