He doesn't understand. lol. The system stores memory for background jobs, which is why a virus scan is recommended. Check the task manager to see how many tasks are running and memory consumption. Open Start > Programs > Services and disable unnecessary ones. Remove any you don’t need or are unsure about—search them online. On some systems, Windows Task Manager isn’t very accurate. From what I’ve read, when only 50% of memory is used, no one complains about performance issues from virtual memory. Generally, Windows alerts when memory approaches full capacity. Still, based on your screenshot, you have around 20GB free, so it’s likely you’re running many background processes. That’s my take.
Right. it's not a big deal to reinstall if you are setup for it. It's just UNNECESSARY. There is NO reason to reinstall Windows every 90 days, for 99.999% of users. So either you're OCD or doing something we shouldn't talk about on the forums Again, it's not reinstalling that's the problem here. It's him figuring out what's eating his RAM.
