Hi, based on my experience with high-end gaming PCs, undervolting has lowered GPU temperatures without causing crashes, stuttering, or FPS drops. Underclocking also helped in certain cases, reducing GPU temps while maintaining performance. Repasting your GPU is an option only if you're comfortable with the process. If not, consult someone experienced. Your GPU is a valuable investment—please share your results. Just a tip from a seasoned PC builder and gamer.
Wow, this section is really toxic.
It’s important to note that these temperatures are unusual, and your feelings are understood.
I recommend considering a replacement of the thermal paste, especially since you’ve already removed it. I’d suggest you go through the process carefully and take your time. It’s likely that a video showing a tear-down would help.
Additionally, I’ve been using ptm and sheets on the GPU.
On my 4070 OC, I used a Kryosheet and it kept temperatures under 50°C during gaming and streaming.
However, the thermal paste remains effective.
I’d advise trying a new thermal paste application.
Since your VRM temperatures aren’t out of the ordinary, the pads seem to be in good condition, though you might want to verify that as well. This isn’t a factor I’d consider when high GPU heat is present.
How do you determine this?
He reduced the settings, checked if the stock fan curve keeps temperatures stable, but wondered why the fans increase more when they're not required.
