I own a Gigabyte 3080 10GB that appears to overheat regardless of adjustments. I’m currently stuck with “No Man’s Sky” at the lowest settings (1440p), and my system runs in the high 70s Celsius, with the hotspot often reaching above 83°C, as reported by HWInfo. My build uses a Lancool II chassis equipped with 3x120mm front intake, 2x120mm top exhaust, and 1x120mm back exhaust fans. The power supply is flipped to draw air from under the case, and all fans are Noctua NF-P12 PWM units, which I’ve connected to a fan hub at maximum speed. Despite these efforts, my temperatures remain high. I’ve already disassembled the system for cleaning, but no suitable spots exist for adding new fans. It’s been suggested to refresh the paste/tape on the GPU, which I’m open to trying, though I’m not familiar with the process. I recently reformatted the system, so my fan curves are default. Any guidance on properly configuring them would be greatly appreciated.

Specs:
Mobo: MSI B550 MAG Tomahawk
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
GPU: Gigabyte 3080 10GB
RAM: 32GB (2 x 16GB) @ 3200
Storage: M.2 SSD
OS: Windows 11

When feasible, capture images of the interior of the case, the fans, etc., and adjust them to show airflow directions. Share the updates accordingly. Photos and diagrams may be uploaded through imgur (www.imgur.com > green "New post" icon).

“I have removed everything at the moment for routine cleaning…”
Since there’s nothing inside the case, that’s why I shared the Lian-li webpage. I might attempt to create a general summary on my phone if the site doesn’t show the layout clearly…
EDIT: LANCOOL II cooling diagram

These temperatures refer to the conditions while seated outdoors. What is the surrounding air temperature?

No, I meant those are the temperatures during operation. I just mentioned that my system is currently being taken down to clean it up. While it’s being dismantled, I’m seeking advice before reassembling it again.
EDIT: This is running on the minimum graphics settings.
EDIT: The room temperature is around 70-80°F.

Mid-70C and 83C are considered really good temperatures when using the lowest settings on a 3080.

It shouldn't be too bad for that GPU either; it seems like the case is well ventilated. The only remaining task is to reapply paste and pads inside the GPU. To ensure proper ventilation, close the case and run all fans at maximum speed. If temperatures improve significantly, it might mean the fan curves are incorrect. You could also consider undervolting or reducing the GPU's power usage.

Usually the fans are linked to a hub and run continuously at full speed since noise levels aren’t a concern.
I’ve purchased the vertical riser kit from Lian li to reposition the card, which will let me place two fans directly beneath it.
Regarding gluing or padding, I haven’t worked with a GPU for this before. Any suggestions? I’m learning about the process and fear I might choose incorrect pad sizes or install them improperly.

It might be useful to get someone skilled to handle the replacement of a graphics card, as it can be challenging—not just the task itself, but also sourcing the appropriate parts. There are no universal guidelines, only specific cases depending on the manufacturer and model.
