Hello, I was planning to assemble a PC using an Xeon e3 1220 v5 and a 1050 Ti processor. However, as shown in the photos, it looks like the CPU might be damaged. I don’t have a motherboard yet (which I plan to purchase for the build), so I can’t test it. Do you think it’s okay or is the processor likely dead? Apologies for any spelling errors—I’m not fluent in English. Thanks for your help!

those tiny gadgets are really problematic. I believe this could definitely disrupt some features on the chip, though in the worst scenario it might not function properly at all. they don’t put them there just for show.

Confirm pins are present, but they're already on the base layer and won't increase production costs. SMD parts add expense because they wouldn't attach properly without proper placement.
