Hello everyone, over the past week I've repeatedly seen a warning about my Windows license expiring. Even though I have Windows 10 Pro activated, the message keeps appearing. I'm using a KMS version on a second-hand laptop. I've tried various solutions but nothing seems to work. It seems the company behind this version requires contacting their server to keep it active. Should I try fixing it myself or should I just accept the pop-up and continue using the system? What will happen if the license actually expires soon?

I wasn't aware that Windows keys have expiration dates. I'd run a virus/malware check just to be safe.

You can try installing it and retain your files, or you’ll need a clean installation which means losing everything and you’ll have to back up your data.

In the activation area within Settings there is a button to modify the product key... You only need to click it, not to reinstall anything.

Yes, you can obtain the product key without needing the DL version of Windows 10.
