You're trying to configure your MC server without using Hamachi, aiming for broader access. Let's review what you've done and what might still be missing. First, ensure your server is correctly set up with a world and no IP address listed in properties. Confirm the gate is properly forwarded from your laptop to the internal IP. Make sure your external IP is correctly configured and reachable. Verify that your firewall rules allow traffic through the gate. Rebooting may help if there are temporary glitches. If issues persist, double-check network paths and consider testing connectivity from different devices.

Configure the server.properties with your local IP address. Enable port forwarding for 25565 using TCP and UDP. Access your external network afterward.

You accessed your router and directed traffic to port 25565.

Are you connected to the same network? If not, consider using a VPN for better security. Many people rely on a straightforward option like Evolve https://www.evolvehq.com/welcome.

I can use evolvehq for testing. It works well for creating a local server. The main issue is that it can slow down significantly. Everyone joining needs evolve too, which adds complexity. I’m happy to assist since setting up a multiplayer server is often stressful. (Tried to sound casual) Just let me know your MC version and whether you’re able to reach the server or if your connection is blocked.

Didn't clearly understand if it was a joke or a real inquiry. " 1. Configure the server using a default environment, omitting an IP address in settings, using the standard gateway." Assuming correct, is 25565 the typical port for MC?

Checking online if the ports are accessible. Testing connection from localhost only suggests they're not open.

Tell me about your internet connection. You might want to look up how to redirect traffic on your modem, because there could be a mistake.

I believe I understand the issue. Are you experiencing difficulties connecting? When you add your server to the multiplayer area, are you using your external IP address or your local IP? The server host (along with any connected devices) must use their local IP, such as 10.0.0.3 or localhost. Please confirm if this was the situation. Example #2
