Adjust the server settings in server.properties to omit the local IP address. For port 25565, specify a particular local IP from your PC hosting environment. Friends can connect via your public IP; they need your external IP (port not required unless multiple servers). Your brother can access using your IPv4 address. You can connect yourself with 127.0.0.1 or 'localhost'. Verify your Minecraft client or server is updated—cracked clients should disable online mode in server properties.
