Hello Everyone, I need some assistance. My Alienware 17x R4 CPU is stuck at 1.2GHz and I've tried adjusting the Intel speed settings, but it doesn't help. Here are my details: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz, Nividia 660M, 16GB RAM, Alienware power brick, BIOS from 5/17/2013, SMBIOS 2.7, embedded controller 1.01, BIOS mode Legacy. The base board info isn't available.

Your power plan settings in Windows are stored within the system configuration and can be accessed through the Control Panel or Power Options menu.

I'm checking Task Manager to view the speed.

Check the BIOS settings on your laptop. If it recognizes the speed correctly, it suggests a Windows issue, possibly an incorrect value, rather than the CPU being genuinely slow.

The feature allows editing the power plan. There, you’ll find Processor Power Management with the minimum and maximum options displayed.
