I play about half an hour of Minecraft and my PC stops completely—no sound, no BSOD, everything freezes and stays still. The keyboard and RGB lights don’t respond at all. I can only perform a hard reset. It seems like the issue isn’t from overheating since the machine isn’t warm, and it handles other games well for extended periods. I’ve changed my BIOS settings by repositioning the silver circle on the motherboard and haven’t overclocked anything. My specs are an i5 6600k, GTX 1060 Z170A, 16GB RAM, running Optifine 1.13.2. The problem started during multiplayer and single-player sessions with a friend. I think it might be related to Java, but I’m not sure.

Use an earlier Java release and avoid optimizations. Minecraft can be demanding on system resources.

Optifine can be quite picky... lots of Minecraft mods tend to be this way I use his.

It doesn't integrate smoothly with other modifications.

Check for possible memory issues or incompatibilities. Share the crash log if available. It seems the mod might be responsible for significant memory problems or performance throttling. Consider downgrading to a more reliable version.

Minecraft with mods turns it into a challenging experience. Without them? It seems like a simple game could be tough. Unless Microsoft makes big changes soon. P.S.: Sorry for the extra post, I’m not sure how to remove the old one.

It's resolved; I limited my FPS to 255 as suggested by a user, and it's now functioning properly.
