Your internet in the rooms is really poor.
Hey everyone, I just moved into a new room above the garage. It’s really spacious, which is awesome. The only issue is my wireless internet is terrible—completely unreliable. But I do have one Ethernet port or cable connected straight to my router, and I ran a speed test over Ethernet. It showed 500 Mbps downloads and 50 Mbps upload, so the wired connection is solid. My goal now is to convert that Ethernet cable into a wireless access point while keeping the Ethernet connection available for my desktop PC. I’m wondering what equipment I should use and whether I need an access point or a network switch. Could you suggest what type of product works best? Also, any recommendations for a good brand? Thanks in advance!
My connection speed is lower than expected—about 3 mb/s during downloads.
What's going on? I believed my speed was quick—200! Why bother with wireless? Go old school! It's still better that way.
