Your games have been lagging due to performance issues over the past few days.
Hello, I've been using this PC for some time and have managed to play my games reasonably well. Although the specifications are quite old, suggestions like 'just upgrade' won't help much because gaming isn't my main focus. For instance, I could run GTA Online smoothly at around 55 FPS, but recently even single-player freezes every few seconds. This isn't just a GTA issue—it's happening with other games too. I do notice the RAM is at full capacity. Could this be the cause? The specs are: CPU i5-3450, GPU GTX 650 (1GB), 4GB DDR3 RAM, MOBO ASUS P8H77-M, and the CPU temperature stays between 40-65°C during gaming. I don't think the thermal issues are the problem, but I'm a bit puzzled since everything worked fine three days ago. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
This seems to be the cause of the poor performance. Have you just downloaded any files recently? It could be malware or a program consuming excessive memory. With only 4GB available, that’s quite limited.
Most features except Microsoft services are turned off at startup.
Hidden applications may be active, causing inconvenience. After powering off and restarting your PC, how much RAM is being used when no programs are running?
I meant what you're asking about the update process. Are you wondering if you need to update again or if the recent update was enough?
