So far nothing has stood out. My machines were usually sufficient for games, but once they hit their limits I upgraded long back. Now Shadow of Mordor looks appealing and I’m doubtful I could run it smoothly on low settings, though I don’t like the Lord of the Rings series so I abandoned that plan. Who knows? Maybe when Oculus arrives I’ll upgrade to play with it... otherwise...

Starcraft 2 made me upgrade my GPU. CS:GO 1.4 also required a new one, though I don’t recall it clearly. I believe I managed to get through by skipping some features and delaying the purchase, so it’s hard to say for sure.

It began with Oblivion and LEGO Star Wars. I’ve always possessed computers that performed better than what was necessary once I realized I couldn’t play those two titles.

I created a completely new setup for that game. In hindsight, it feels like I squandered my budget, since I hardly play it anymore.

It all began with Team Fortress 2, yet it expanded to many other titles. At that time, it was one of the main reasons I assembled my present setup, but now it feels challenging to justify, as it’s deeply woven into my routine.

In Warcraft 3 I could try it, but I always wished for a smoother experience at maximum settings. Shadowbane pushed me to upgrade my GPU when those ATI and AGP slots were available.

I mean GTA 4... But it performs poorly across all platforms.

It was really tough for me. It caused my computer to behave strangely, almost like a child.
