Your adapter is working with WiFi 6 enabled, yet your router still uses WiFi 5. Check if your router settings are correctly set to WiFi 6 and ensure there are no conflicts or interference issues. Also verify that your device supports and prioritizes the correct network type.

Are you linking to the 5GHz network? Have you used the 2.4GHz option before? If yes, remove it from your devices so they only connect to the 5GHz one.

The only available choice is the 5GHz model, though it should actually be 6GHz. My router supports WiFi 6 and the adapter is 6E. I accidentally left out all the Wi-Fi settings on my computer before reconnecting, but it remains stuck at WiFi 5.

Your router supports Wi-Fi 6 only on the 5 GHz frequency. To access the extra 6 GHz band, you need 6E. You don’t have to use the 6 GHz band to achieve Wi-Fi 6 performance. To confirm it’s running at Wi-Fi 5, run a speed test, check your Windows network settings, or try another method.

Settings indicate otherwise but occasionally shifts to 6GHz unexpectedly

//www.virginmedia.com/broadband/existing-customer-deals/hub Even if it were possible, it probably wouldn’t function outside the same room as the Hub. WiFi 6 doesn’t support 6GHz, but it works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. WiFi 6e includes 6GHz capabilities.
