Recently my computer stopped functioning unexpectedly. The CPU cooler is operational and the lights are working, but there’s no display or functioning USB ports. The PSU and GPU fans are spinning, yet the screen remains off. Please assist with the Ryzen 7 3700X motherboard.
GPU plays a role in display problems. Was the system working before? Did you use it at any point? What happened when it stopped working?
My bad GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 super OC 4G. I started my PC and it crashed, the screen stayed on the Gigabyte startup mode for three hours before I unplugged it because it wouldn’t power off.
I don't have that information. Could you provide the details or check your device documentation?
So It didn't POST when you fired it up? Some first things to try: -Clear CMOS. -Full power cycle: Flip switch on PSU, take out cord, hold power button for 10 seconds, plug back in and try to boot. Just to add, there's a button on the back of your motherboard that will clear the CMOS. If I looked up the correct motherboard it's labelled "Q-Flash Plus button". Tried all possible solutions yet it doesn’t function: pressing Q flash plus and off together turns on the keyboard but no screen appears.
that's for updating the bios, not resetting it.. to clear the cmos, remove the battery(cr2032) that looks like a coin on the mobo, while the psu is unplugged. wait 5-10 minutes, then put it back in and power up the pc.
Avoid pressing the buttons simultaneously. Remove the CMOS battery after holding and releasing the power button. After taking it out, ensure the power supply is disconnected and turned off. Press the power button firmly once more for confirmation. Skip using the Q-flash feature. Reinsert all components and check if the device powers on correctly. Edited June 3, 2022 by Bianks84
