You still have the motherboard, RAM, and storage components ready. The system is set up with a 4GB RAM module, which could work for a lightweight Linux distribution. Everything else—SSD, power supply, network cards, case, heatsink, fan—is in place. You’re considering using it as a regular PC or an emulation setup, possibly for media or everyday tasks. The limited 256MB of video memory from the Quadro might be a concern, but it could still function if you choose the right software and settings. It’s a good idea to test it out before making a final decision.

This setup turns old hardware into a powerful tool for Minecraft or CS:GO servers. With virtualization features, you can install Proxmox on a system that supports it and run virtual machines without the usual Windows overhead. You might even run Windows on top of it. It’s ideal for experimenting, learning Linux, or just playing around. Just avoid using it as your main computer for everyday tasks.

I’ll mainly use it for Left 4 Dead, light web browsing, or similar. I might switch to Windows XP SP4 to run some older Windows 98 and 95 games I own. Thanks!

It won't function that way. The mobile socket is referred to as socket P technically, but it doesn't match the 478 desktop boards. Although the pin count matches, the sockets remain incompatible.

It's possible you're considering M chips.
