You need to remove this bracket (Fixed).
I've attempted to remove the CPU holder, but it remains stuck. This is my first time, so I'm looking for guidance on how to take it off. Additionally, I'm planning to upgrade to a better cooler which means a new bracket will be needed. Thanks to everyone who helped me with this!

Consent is given. The issue seems resolved with basic removal techniques. It might be due to a thin pad or gasket, but avoid discarding it—consider reusing it if it’s still intact. You can try reinserting a screw at one corner and pushing gently around the four holes. This approach is safer than prying.
Insert the screw into the hole and attempt to push or push the mounts out.
Are you certain the new cooler requires a replacement bracket? Generally, solid coolers use a threaded back plate, and most of the threaded back plates along with their screws follow the same M3 standard. Of course, there are some exceptions, but check if the cooler can fit into the existing one—it’s a very sturdy and reliable backing plate you already have. Plus, it looks like this plate is also part of the CPU socket lid mechanism, so removing it would eliminate both the lid screw holes and the locking post.
I've noticed they often get stuck with silicone. You can partially remove the screws, then push them down until they come loose.
