You're facing some tricky issues here. It seems Samsung might be the root cause of the driver problems. The lack of drivers and failed updates point to a possible compatibility or licensing issue. I'm concerned about the impact on your system, especially with the FN buttons not working. Rolling back to W7 helped temporarily, but deleting accounts and trying to restore admin access is confusing. Are there any official ways to fix this without reinstalling everything?

It's normal that Samsung didn't release laptop driver updates, since they exited the laptop market before Windows 10 was even introduced.

They provided good recovery disks for their laptops. Use them.

They could provide an alternative with an ultrabook, but creating a fresh user account without logging into Windows 10 isn't possible.

theres a shady trick to open an administrator command prompt from the login screen... but i think thats gonna be at a loss too.. i think your best bet is reinstalling windows 7. EDIT: with install media of your own.

I completed the entire restoration...that was the optimal choice.

You might attempt to install drivers for Windows 7/8 on your laptop. I did this for my Dell Latitude E6400 when the missing drivers were unavailable. Everything functions smoothly. If the installation reports an incorrect OS, try running it in compatibility mode for Windows 7/8 to skip the OS verification.

Sure, I think it's better to keep my laptop on W7 because the FN buttons aren't working and I really need them.
