Currently I'm running at a solid 4.2ghz with 1.35w power. I'm curious about how much 3700x's can typically reach, especially since their boost clock is 4.4ghz. I don't think I'd be able to push that far. My board is an Asus ROG Strix X570-E, which is really robust.

You should be able to handle 4.4 across all four cores, but keep the voltage under 1.45V for continuous overclocking.

Read the discussion at Fasauce's forum link. The advice isn't worth following. Be aware that boosting single cores won't help, and stock systems need higher voltages. Lower voltage options perform better.
