Start by connecting it and check the behavior right away. It could be set up already.

Instead of dealing with issues, consider purchasing a DP-to-HDMI cable to avoid the hassle of managing an iGPU.

I tried to fix it, switched the adapter settings to IGFX thinking it was the solution, but lost the display. I thought I’d messed up big time, took out the MBOO coin battery to reset the CMOS, and it worked. Then I figured it wasn’t that simple after all.

I'm planning to work on things today so I can stream later without needing my phone for chatting.

Keep the shift pressed while pressing restart. When the menu appears, choose troubleshoot. Select EFI. When in BIOS, look for the IGPU setting to enable it.

I managed the shift and pressed restart, then went to troubleshoot. The only choices were to reset the PC or access advanced settings. The advanced options screen shows internal graphics under chipset—default is auto. Trying to enable it caused my display bar to disappear, cursor issues, and I had to remove the coin battery from the motherboard to restore BIOS settings and get the display back. I’m not sure what I did incorrectly.

This setting determines the main output device, allowing you to choose between Auto or PCIe. Enabling both iGPU and GPU is available under... (checking the manual) ...Chipset >> Internal Graphics >> [Enabled]. The default is Auto, which turns off the iGPU if a graphics card is found in the PCI-E slot.
