Ensure Origin is running properly by checking the Task Manager if it was stopped. Restart it via Steam if needed, or use the Steam overlay instead. This will help the server join correctly.

Let's break it down: Purchase the game from the store (digital downloads aren't always practical for most users; not everyone has a reliable connection). Install the game on Battlefield 4. Launch the Steam overlay and SteamOverlay.exe will also be active. What changed from previous versions? Game installation is now handled through the server, matchmaking, and friend lists are managed within the game. (Even in-game logins, like EA's old system or Warframe's current setup)
