You just saved it from the Microsoft site. The only limitation is that you won’t be able to customize it, and there will be a Windows 10 watermark at the bottom right.

You're free to use it whenever you like, but there are some settings you can't modify and a watermark included. I've been using unverified Windows for about two years now.

You can also use your existing Windows 7 or 8 keys to unlock the system at no cost, just as before it was released. Although they claimed otherwise, it never actually expired.

You can obtain Windows 10 from Microsoft's official site. When setting up, if prompted for a product key, you may see an unactivated version marked with a watermark in the bottom right corner, which restricts personalization features. You can later unlock Windows using a valid key. Also, it's possible to activate Windows during setup with a previous Windows 7 or 8 license.
