You just saved it from the Microsoft site. The only limitation is that you won’t be able to customize it, and there will be a Windows 10 watermark at the bottom right.

You're free to use it whenever you like, but there are some settings you can't modify and a watermark included. I've been using unverified Windows for about two years now.

You can also use your existing Windows 7 or 8 keys to unlock the system at no cost, just as before it was released. Although they claimed otherwise, it never actually expired.

When setting up, if prompted for a product key, you may see an unactivated version marked with a watermark in the bottom right corner, which restricts personalization features. You can later unlock Windows using a valid key. Also, it's possible to activate Windows during setup with a previous Windows 7 or 8 license.
