I can note you haven't conducted any research since it seems most games won't be impacted. Unless you're limited to online play, I understand why you'd say that. However, it's still not a solid fact. Most of my games have seen faster loading times—often more than just a few seconds. I don't think the SSD is the main factor, that's more related to internet conditions. Unless the loading happens on the client side?

I only enjoy offline single-player titles. A lot of them are saved on a network share or fileserver since it really doesn’t matter for those games. I didn’t claim they wouldn’t be impacted—I meant running them from an SSD usually offers limited improvement. That means the advantage varies: sometimes it’s minimal, and other times it’s well-known benefits that aren’t surprising.

It seems SSDs aren't really helping in this case. They don’t offer any real benefit, and it’s probably a waste of time. Just keep it simple—don’t bother.

The initial statement aimed to enhance game startup speed by relocating files to the SSD C drive.

It's mainly about clearing the HD to make it operate more efficiently.

Perform the steps to insert a new installation directory, then move your game folders into it. Launch Steam and verify the games launch correctly, noting the installation location under Properties > Local Files.

No matter the setup, saves remain on the C: disk, yet most titles use Steam Cloud which allows them to re-download saves during a fresh install (make sure they’re properly installed first). You don’t need a fixed storage spot; just point directories where you want your Steam games, choose that before setup, or shift installations between drives.
