I have Windows 10 from OEM on my custom microcenter setup. I recently planned a fresh install and quickly made the USB media using the official tool, finishing in roughly 15 minutes. No license keys needed and it activated online right away because it's an OEM. For my dad’s older Windows 7 PC, I have the original installation disk from HP. Every time I reformat it once a year, I spend an hour removing all the bloatware and games it installs. I prefer a clean Windows 7 copy that activates automatically since it's also an OEM. Activation seems to work just as smoothly as with Windows 10 in my case. Regarding the installation media, can you generate an official Windows 7 USB from Microsoft that activates automatically after installation on an OEM system?

Avoid installing Windows 7; just set up Windows 10 and use the key. You can transfer a Windows 7 ISO to a USB drive and boot from it, but don't install it.

I wanted to know the process for getting a clean Windows 7 USB to reinstall Windows 7, similar to what I did on my Windows 10 system.

Windows 10 performs quite well. For better performance, consider using an SSD—around $20—and it can significantly boost speed. Windows 7 has a major security vulnerability and should be avoided.

I'll start with Windows 10 on his device first to check for issues. Then I'll generate a Windows 10 media drive using the same setup tool I used on my own machine.

Sure, I’ll rephrase it for you. Yep, just make sure to get an SSD for that system if it doesn’t already have one.

This machine is powerful. With 16 GB RAM it should handle the workload well. The dual-core i5 with 4 GB RAM is fine for its specs. Adding an SSD will definitely boost performance.

This should function well on Windows 10; adding more RAM would be beneficial, but I'll test it with the existing settings now.

This should function. The link you shared points to the Microsoft download page for the software.
