It’s possible to use higher bandwidth codecs in TS3. There are ways to explore options beyond the standard settings. Your friend’s mention of Speex 26.9 is a good starting point, but you might also consider experimenting with newer codecs like Opus or AAC at higher bitrates. Check the documentation for your specific TS3 version and see if there are configuration files or command-line parameters that allow adjusting codec performance.

You might need the latest software to access Speex 25.9. Check if your version is current or consider an older one that hasn’t been updated recently.

Could need an update to reach 25.9—otherwise try 16.4. It’s the current setting for voice chat, and 25.9 works better for music.

I'll check if an update is necessary. Should I refresh the client or also the server file?

I think the server is set up. I use an existing one that updates itself automatically, and it’s listed as available now.

The server requires a newer client version for proper operation, yet you must ensure the client is present first.

I handle my own server setup or lease resources from external providers.

The problem isn't related to installation or removal. You might try using your webadmin credentials and verify they're active, or review your configuration file to ensure it's not disabled or altered manually.
