When it reaches 100°C, I’m hoping for a refund but I haven’t seen any customer reviews. The cooling system seems to be problematic.

If you're having trouble, and you believe the TIM isn't performing well, I suggest replacing it. Modern CPUs with boost clocks don't reduce speed until 105°C, but that's not the full picture. The CPU will decrease the boost speeds it relies on as temperatures rise, thermal throttling only occurs when the clock drops below the base frequency by definition, so it's not thermal throttling but it's sacrificing some speed.
