They likely won’t lose a key income stream since the feature is funded by another source. Removing it could hurt their earnings.

Due to T Mobile and T Mobile's preference, they may avoid giving public IP addresses to their customers. They might only supply one for home internet and rely on carrier-grade NAT for Mobile Subs. Honestly, public IPs aren't really needed for mobile users. I understand this for fixed LTE/5G services, but not for phones.

They probably won’t retain the current setup and it could cost more since IPv4 addresses are disappearing. However, they may already provide you with a publicly accessible IPv6 address.
