I have GTA 5 on an SSD and experience stuttering during high-speed driving. The issue seems to be with the game itself, not my storage setup. Using an SSD significantly cuts down loading times for both online and single-player modes. If you're playing online, I recommend installing it on an SSD; for single-player, stick with the traditional hard drive.
He wasn't focusing on FPS or slow texture loading (typically VRAM). From my own tests and many others, pedestrians load significantly quicker on my SSD compared to my HDD. Don’t overinterpret this, we aren’t suggesting it’s impossible on an HDD or that we’re pushing the limits—just what works best for us, nothing negative here.
It seems the barracuda is one of the quickest consumer drives available, yet I notice strong performance in GTA. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough room on my SSD for GTA, which could significantly reduce loading times—similar to what happens in Battlefield.
