8GB suffices for a game and a web browser operating quietly, but it’s quickly feeling insufficient. A few years back I needed about 5GB when a browser ran in the background, whereas now modern games demand roughly 7GB. I believe 16GB would be a safer choice, given how affordable RAM has become.

You're correct, but the main issues were due to memory leaks affecting performance. I used up all my RAM, which made games struggle. Now that I have more RAM available, things run better. Although 8GB is getting outdated, as long as it functions properly, I'll stick with it.

For RAM, it mainly means upgrading whenever you need more space. Once you hit the 8GB mark and performance slows, adding more is straightforward.
