Hi there! I'm a gamer and noticed lately that when I want to play games, I often have to close everything and use a video game optimizer. It seems I can run games like Tomb Raider or Doom smoothly just by opening the browser. I’m hoping to play Battlefield 1 soon. With my GTX 960 and a 2GB RAM setup, do you think it will be enough to handle the game without my RAM lagging behind? Also, I’m curious about whether I can get more memory if I save up money for a 16GB pack.

8GB provides sufficient space, though it wasn’t as ample a few years back. Still, your operating system is efficient—leaving unused RAM means you can run more demanding apps for better performance. Depending on how much memory your system uses, Windows automatically adjusts from under 1GB up to over 8GB, adapting as needed.

your os doesn’t seem to be working hard enough for 3gbs usage. at 7.8 gbs it starts to lag and become unresponsive. you might want to adjust settings manually if you notice any issues.

Played GTA 5 on a system with 8 GB of RAM, it performed well overall—especially when running at full capacity and using the ultra setting.

I was using 1440p at ultra settings, but multitasking and gaming would crash the system. RAM prices have dropped a lot lately, so you can buy an 8GB unit for under $30.

It makes sense that you require more memory since you're only using 1280. In my country, these upgrades aren't very affordable—30 dollars isn't much—so you should plan ahead well. Take care!

2GB suffices for browsing and basic tasks, and that’s normal. I ran a few games on a system with just 8GB of RAM and everything worked well.

Are you referring to two tabs in Chrome? Using 2GB won't be sufficient since the operating system will likely consume much more space.

Your PC is consuming 60% of its power while the browser is open, indicating an issue.
