When I launch Task Manager frequently, the memory usage comes from my antivirus software, Kaspersky, and it stays under 150 MB.

It's the initial setup and configuration phase, where the system prepares itself before any user interaction or processes start.

I verified repeatedly after each startup and consistently found it launching at over 50%, my highest recorded was 45%.

A YouTube channel named Science Studio recently evaluated this setup, noting that 8Gb provided minimal improvement over 16Gb, especially at 1440p with a GTX 1070. I use 8Gb but my hardware dates back to around 2012. For better reliability and performance, consider upgrading to 16Gb, as it will handle more programs and multitasking smoothly.

Thanks in advance for the help. Also, Linus put together a video where he compares them. I know performance differences are minimal between 8 to 16 GB, but you might encounter issues at the top of an 8 GB system. If the RAM isn't sufficient, you'll notice significant frame rate drops. That’s why I’m asking.

VRAM plays a bigger role in games than RAM does. System memory supports the game environment and physics calculations, while RAM handles less of the workload. Generally, an average unmodified title would require around 5GB, though games like GTA V could demand more, particularly with mods such as Redux.

Thanks for the chat. I found the issue and now I have a memory leak in my program. It started using about 25% during startup, but I’ve tried everything before figuring it out. The solution was simple once I understood it.

I require over 8GB for numerous games. 16GB provides a better option.
