This generation handles 2933MHz consistently, while most support 3200MHz; exceeding 3466 MHz requires custom timing adjustments.

There have been recent BIOS changes, though I think I'm running version 1.4v now.

Enable the SoC/Uncore OC mode early in AMD overclocking. Restart and attempt to apply the XMP profile once more. I expect it to work perfectly (tested with a 3200mhz RAM speed).

Based on my own testing, Asrock works well across all Intel tiers. Mid-range and lower-end AMD models sometimes cause issues, but that doesn’t reflect the overall experience since I only tried under 20 units.

r5 1600 b450 steel performance at 3.95ghz with Corsair Vengeance LX 3200 at 3333mhz runs smoothly. BIOS version 2.63B is fine. AsRock advises against updating if you have Summit Ridge and bla bla... processors are fine, but I’m planning a BIOS update. Warning.
