my current setup includes one 3.0 header and one USB-C header; i need two of each for my 1000D front panel I'm working on. it's a hardline loop with corsair fans, various fittings, blocks, and lian li strimmers that demand many USB 2.0 connectors for the RGB setup. my vertical-mounted GPU occupies two slots, while the ten-gig card uses one slot. this leaves just enough space for USB 3.0, plus four to five USB 2.0 headers. technically, i could install a motherboard without all features except one and add a single expansion card in the X8 slot behind the 10-gig card, but honestly, a high-end board or removing the vertical mount seems like the best option.

I could also make a hole in the back of my case and change RGB devices to USB male connections, plugging them into the motherboard that way—it’s not perfect, but it wouldn’t require a new motherboard. The goal is to keep everything looking perfect, so I’ll use this case for years to come.
I used the precise USB 2.0 adapter and after connecting it, my USB-C devices ceased functioning. Restarting the PC caused it to loop indefinitely until I took it out. This situation has already occurred before.
