Here we discuss the issue. I own an x570 crosshair viii dark hero from ASUS. It has been replaced by ASUS, but I'm still facing the same problems as with the original motherboard. My system would randomly lock up and freeze. The mouse sometimes works, other times it doesn't. Audio plays briefly before stopping completely. During the inspection at ASUS, I transferred my R5 5600X to an x570 Gigabyte board using GSKILL Trident Neo RAM, and everything functioned perfectly with no issues. No problems at all. Is the Dark Hero motherboard considered a problematic MMO? I've had two of them, and the only concern is that it might be the hardware itself. If you'd like my full PC specifications, feel free to share them in a reply.

The board is really messy and hard to use. It seems like you might have been lucky or got unlucky with your hardware. For better performance, consider cheaper alternatives from competitors like the X570 Tomahawk, UniFi X, or AORUS Master. Full specs would be helpful if you need more details.

I really hope I could have. It's been more than a year since buying it. I regret not realizing this before getting the mobo.

Pick two of those Corsair cables and notice if your issues disappear. On my QVL they mention two Corsair cables as working, but four aren’t. Could it be the same for you? My rig is essentially a B550 model.

This seems to be the problem—your ASUS Abysmal RAM setup isn’t really a big issue at speeds under 4000, but it does limit your RAM clock performance across all frequencies. Even at 3600, the Abysmal RAM still affects things. Since this board is an ASUS Crosshair model, you might be able to recoup some money by selling it used to someone who doesn’t need high-speed RAM or 4x8 modules next time. Just do a bit more research before buying. I don’t blame you for thinking top-tier ASUs are always better, but this particular board isn’t ideal for your needs right now.

It’s a positive factor. I complete 4x8 races without any trouble. Many of my best benches have been tested on this layout, though not every one. There are no stability concerns. Others respect Corsair because they proudly display their branding. I’m more cautious with their products since I know some quality issues exist. It’s not Asus’ responsibility for the poor performance of their RAM.

It looks like Asus has poor memory configurations on these boards that limit performance to around 4500, which could be impacting Corsair RAM well. The board loads properly and IMC is fine, but most boards don’t exceed 4200 on a 4x8 setup. It seems challenging for top models like the X470 Taichi to reach 4x8 speeds.

Really, who cares? It works well for a daily setup. No. It's not just Asus.

Those who purchase this product tend to spend a lot on premium rams as well. If they discover their fast rams can't maintain the intended speed in the track, they'll be frustrated because 3600 cl16 feels sluggish. It seems the issue isn't severe. What's the problem?
