I purchased the components... also got a decent RAM module. I wasn't upset it wouldn't run at 4500 MHz; it will eventually, though not every day. High-speed RAM tends to be better for Intel systems, which is what buyers understand. The Corsairs binning process shows they're flexible and will use whatever they have to make it work.
Isn't running gear 2 essentially the same as 1/2 fclk? The performance hit should be similar across the board. The top CPUs for high-speed RAM are Cezanne because it can reach FCLK levels that seem unreal. Is it really that significant? I assumed all Corsair issues were just due to their popularity.
I own a 5950X with an x570 dark hero and a win 10 system. I encountered a boot issue once, which I resolved by updating the BIOS. Otherwise, my board has had some stability problems. Could you tell me what BIOS version is installed now? If it's outdated, upgrading might help fix the issues. A fresh BIOS update could improve performance and memory handling.
i do not believe its a ram issue. and i've done two ram sticks one ram stick and it still happens. this is with the G.Skill ram. i have no difference in either. i bought the corsair ram thinking my G.skill ram was crapping out on me. i can just drop it into my alt rig. As far as slow ram. i'm not spending for 4000Mhz ram. and getting anything better than CL16 at 3600mhz ram is nauseating. to me and my wallet. and as far as the motherboard goes i haven't had any issues with Asus boards until now. I trusted their competency with their motherboards. i had the CH6 and i wanted the dark hero. first real bad experience with their boards. if you suggestions or other questions that can be helpful to the situation that would be great. i'm willing to answer any question related to this issue. i've done a lot of testing to figure out whats wrong with this board. if you want to know if i've done it. i'm willing to give that information. while waiting for responses i have adjusted the C-States to disabled. i doubt this fixes anything, but here is hoping.
