Windows.old appears following a clean installation
It turns out I was discovered -_-. I followed the clean install correctly, yet a windows.old folder remains, which I had some kind of malware on my old system. After cleaning, it’s still there. As shown below, there’s another device there, but is that not my internal drive? Wasn’t it supposed to be deleted too, according to the tutorial? It might not matter since I read in the guide that things could change. The second window didn’t appear, so I didn’t have a chance to click custom and went straight to the third one.
Just checked a video and he bypassed the window to make it seem normal, so I guess that’s what happened. The only other possibility I can think of is that another drive, but I’m pretty sure that’s the installation media. The tutorial mentioned the installation media shouldn’t appear, but it did, which might be why the problem occurred. I don’t think I’ll be able to recover my x or discord account, and still trying to get other accounts back isn’t worth the uncertainty. I really want this wiped.
