Windows update issue with Ethernet port not launching
Following the Windows update yesterday, the Ethernet port on one of your PCs stopped functioning. When checking the drivers, it showed "Unable to start (code 10)." Uninstalling the driver didn’t help, and a system restore didn’t resolve the issue. The motherboard model is an Asrock Z370 Pro4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
You can remove the driver by following the uninstall steps, then check the event logs for any errors that might prevent the process from completing.
The installer started but didn’t do anything. I attempted several fixes last night without success, removed the suspected update, yet the problem persisted. After switching to an Ethernet-to-USB adapter and hoping Windows would resolve it on its own, the error remained unchanged. I’m considering a full Windows reinstall at this point.
