Consider testing W10 and W7 first, as they might function. I’d start with Linux to verify if the four CPUs are operational.

For more than two processors, your choices include: Windows Server 2012 r2, Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 5 (good luck, it's mainly a beta OS), and various Linux versions. Graphics card drivers: Nvidia Quadro and newer support all listed OSes; AMD Firepro and higher also support native drivers for these systems. Some GeForce drivers exist for Windows Server 2012, which needs many workarounds. All GeForce drivers are available for both 32-bit and 64-bit Debian-based and FreeBSD Linux distributions. Radeon drivers work on both 32-bit and 64-bit Debian and Red Hat Linux systems. If you plan to use workstation or better GPUs, opt for a Windows Server variant. For consumer-grade GPUs, choose a Debian Linux distribution.

I intend to run VMware Workstation 12 Pro and would like to install a few affordable, low-profile GeForce GPUs.
