I encounter the error 0x80073701 when attempting to install WLSS through UI or PowerShell. After running sfc /scannow as an admin, the scan completed successfully. DISM repair also failed with a source file error. Even trying to fix it again led to similar issues. I’m using the latest version of Windows 10. I attempted an upgrade via Windows Media but it didn’t work, likely because I’m on the newest OS. Some suggested reinstalling Windows 10, which isn’t something I want to do. I spent about 15 hours yesterday trying to figure this out. If anyone has any advice, I’d really appreciate it—I’m at a loss.

I don't have a system to check, but you can find your current Windows 10 build version by opening Settings > System > About or using the built-in Windows search for "Windows version."

I checked the information and found it appears to be a recognized issue. No one provided a clear reason or fix in the comments. Some say the latest update helped, while others claim they’re still facing the problem despite being on the newest version. Could you share a screenshot of Windows Key + R, type "Winver," and press Enter?

I'm currently running 1803 Build 17134.799. We talked about this with kirashi before they went to sleep. It seems I'm not on the newest release. I've attempted to update through settings and using the media creation tool, but one suggested I'm up-to-date while the tool reported an issue. I also checked online and didn't find any solutions.

The update assistant download appears in gray above the Windows media tool, which seems different from what you expected. Appreciate the effort—I'll give it a try.

Due to this, computers will be paused from getting Windows 10, version 1903 until the problem is fixed. To protect your update process, we’ve delayed devices with an external USB device or SD card from being available for Windows 10, version 1903 until this is resolved. May 22, 2019 Windows Update was blocked because of drive reassignment.

Already reached this point, but I can't update. Need to resolve this issue another way, okay?
