The error in WSL indicates missing files. Possible reasons include obstacles or corrupted system files. We'll assume a block is present. For WSL, verify that the following services are properly configured: "Windows Update" should be set to Manual or Automatic and operational. "Windows Update Medic Service" must transition from Manual to Automatic and function correctly. "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" needs Manual or Automatic settings with successful startup. "Windows Modules Installer" should run in Automatic mode. "Cryptographic Services" must be set to Automatic and active. If additional security programs are installed alongside Windows Defender, remove them and restart the system—they might be preventing WSL installation. After installation, you can reinstall your security software.

I handled everything myself. Unfortunately it didn’t function properly. If updates aren’t possible due to the latest May intel drivers issue, I think reinstalling Windows is the only remaining choice. I chose a Ubuntu VM, though it isn’t perfect and often struggles to stay operational, but it’s the best option I have.
