Windows fails to install following a full PC replacement, except for the hard drives?
I was improving my mom's computer and after swapping all the components I still can't have Windows launch or the setup begin on Windows 10 or 11. I was wondering if my actions were incorrect? I've tried all the possible BIOS adjustments but nothing seems to work.
My mom's computer details
When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide your complete system specifications. Please list the details of your build in the following order:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model.
Also, note the BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
Since you've replaced parts, we'll compare the original and updated specs.
My mom's computer has a Ryzen 5500 CPU, default cooler, and an ASUS Prime B550-A AC motherboard. It comes with random cheap RAM at 3600 speed, a WD Blue SSD/HDD, an RX 5800 GPU, and a Cosair TX 750 PSU. The chassis is an Antec model I no longer recognize. The OS is Windows 10, but it won't boot or install properly. BIOS version 3621 is installed. Everything seems to function, but I can't access USB or drives because the old versions won't work with the new hardware. Since the old parts aren't working, I can't install them and wipe the drives.
